With all the kids grown, my wife decided she wants to get back into archery......and bowhunting. Looks like my regular hunting buddy will have to make some room. :)

We took a long ride to Northern California to hunt with some good friends who know turkeys very well. After a few 'practice' shots at live birds, Anne finally ended up arrowing her first turkey.......and I arrowed the second one that came in with it. A memorable double take for sure! It's going to be fun from here on out, boys!

Congrats on an archery double that I doubt happens very often. Also great pictures. Eastman should do a turkey edition magazine in the spring for the western states. I know some don't consider turkeys big game but they're considered big game in GA. from a license standpoint. Congrats again for you and your new hunting buddy.

Great to see. Turkeys are one of the better hunts to take women. Action oriented, short hikes, sit in a blind, lots of room for newbie error, hunt together and they taste good too! Of course you know all that, but recommended for others.

Congratulations to her and you especially! I'm jealous, wish my wife would go hunting, she loves to fish, so I guess I should complain.
