Just to be clear

There are two contest running

One for the Custom Ring and one for your story to be in the magazine. The Ring is only for Elk story's and photos. The second is for Elk, Deer, and Antelope.

Successful Elk hunters can post on both contests but you can only win one of the contests.

The. Ring contest was started first and we will vote on that contest first.

We will get these organized when the guys get back from the shows so it should only be a couple weeks.

Poll is good, but you can't have it show the "current" results. People will be swayed by others votes.

Poll or just start a new thread with each contest and everyone post their vote

I think Just another thread that way everyone gets one vote only. Just list the entries and they can go back and read them on the contest thread then vote.

I agree. I think it would be the fairest if no one could see who voted for who or was winning while the voting is going on.

We have to wait for the guys to get back from the trade shows. I think they will be back next week. Guy wants to be involved with how we set up the voting process.

A quick update on the voting for the contest

We have a new digital guy that will be assisting in the set up and voting process. He will be available on the 5th so we can get this thing started.

I would do it as a poll, but I would definitely make it so people can't see how many votes each one has and who has voted for who. This will keep any biases out that could effect how someone votes.

This contest was a little confusing to me, I thought it was for elk strictly because it was only in the Elk sub forum (or did I completely miss something) although the rules stated the second contest was for deer, antelope, etc.

The elk stories were cool and I voted for my fav.

Please dont take this the wrong way but I just do not see it. I am sure it is something idiotic Im overlooking, but the only info I can find is on the Elk forums...actually the only stories I can find are Elk stories.
