Hey fellas just joined the site. Looks like a lot of good info on here. Drew a Colorado Unit 70 muzzy tag this year with a buddy and my dad. Was hoping to get a little help and insight on the National forest and wilderness areas in the southeast corner of the unit. Not looking for any ones honey hole just a little knowledge on the type of terrain to look for and maybe tactics for hunting that time of year in this area. We are successful whitetail hunters here in Oklahoma but lack the knowledge and experience hunting the mountains. I have only been elk hunting one time about 10 years ago in Unit 81. Some of the best days I have spent in the woods and didn't kill a thing. I am sure there are better units out there since we were able to draw with 0 points but we are pumped to have the tag and opportunity to chase elk. it has been a long time coming trying to put a hunt together. Any information and advice is greatly appreciated. Congrats to everyone that got lucky enough to draw a tag this year.
