Hey all after tons of homework and research I am considering burning my points on an archery or possibly 2nd season hunt in 67 just curious how things are looking this winter in the basin and if we are going to lose many deer? Would love to hear any recent experience in the unit as well. Could a guy have a fun archery hunt in there chasing some decent bucks? I’m new to this forum, but posted my intro and am happy to help with any info I can. Happy huntin!

Thanks Codak, I've only hunted with a gun one other time when I drew a unit 44 tag I prefer to hunt with my bow. You think a guy could have a good hunt in 67 archery?

Right on thanks for the link! Sounds like you could find a good buck from top to bottom of the unit. Bucks during archery aren't all necessarily above treeline and could be hanging out in the Aspen, sage transition zone early in September?

You’ll be able to find deer at all elevations in the unit during archery or 2nd. I was in a bordering unit a few years back during second season, and found bucks from 12,500 to 8k and all in between.

Awesome thank you all so much for the information. I'm torn on a rifle hunt to do something different or sticking to what I know in the stick and string. What should my realistic expectations be with each weapon?
