I've finally decided to take the necessary steps to begin my research to bowhunt Colorado in the upcoming years! I am not sure if I want to start putting in for limited elk tags or if I want to try OTC. I don't want to wait forever to get a tag but I don't want to cough up 700 bucks for a dud OTC unit. Since I am from southern NM I would like to hunt southern Colorado since it would make the trip a little shorter and manageable. However, if I need to go north for success I will! Can anybody point me in a good general direction in choosing a unit and if I should be patient for a draw hunt? ANY help would be immensely appreciated! Thank you!
