Colorado GMU 66 DIY 2013 Mule Deer Archery Hunt

I've been drawn for the 2013 Archery Mule deer season in Colorado GMU 66. Looking for some advice on a DIY hunt in Uncompahgre, Gunnison and/or San Juan National Forest. Willing to hike long and hard to get away from the crowds and into prime Mule deer country. This is possibly a once in a lifetime hunt for me so any suggestions, general or specific in nature will be greatly appreciated.

Congratulations on the tag! I didnt realize it was that hard to draw to be a once in a lifetime tag. I never been there but good luck!

The unit can be pretty good..look over the migration maps...the OIL tag for that unit would be when a 4th season opens.
