It looks like I have enough points to draw the deer tag this year. I haven't been able to find a lot of info on this unit and was wondering if it is going to be a good choice. Has anyone on here hunted it? What quality of animal should I expect to see? Thanks a lot for the help!

They are generally good units with some good bucks in them. YOU have to work for them though. There are a lot of roads on the Grand mesa, so finding an area that won't contain other hunters can be tricky. These units are also way different according to what season you are hunting. Most of the public is high country i.e. pine and aspen. Most of the wintering ground is private and the animals head there fast during the rifle seasons. Find the migration corridors and you should do fine.
