Hey guys! Been a long time lurker and finally decided to join. I drew a unit 49 elk tag here in Colorado and just wanted to see if anyone had this hunt in the past and how the hunt was. I've been in the unit a few times but never for elk. I'm looking to do a few scouting trips starting in a few weeks and am going to start around Weston Pass and work my way south towards the wilderness. Are there any areas to stay away from?
