Just trying to figure this one out after watching a show filmed on the Hill Ranch in Colorado. Weapon was a muzzleloader, during the rut using a scope and pellets. Could that have been 1st rifle? I thought though you still had to follow the state rules for weapon use.

Or does the ranching for wildlife hunts allow this? Just thought it was odd.

Could of been first rifle. You don't have to adhere to any of the muzzleloader specific rules other than caliber restrictions during rifle season. So you can use sabots, scopes, pellets etc as long as your using it in a rifle season and not during the muzzleloader season. The Hill ranch might be able to use rifles during a september rut hunt too. Not sure what they got going on?
