Hey guys gonna ask for a little help in area research. I've been out 3 times to hunt CO GMU 21/22 back in 04 and GMU 65 in 15, 16. So 21/22 was ok, not really what I thought of when you think of, "Colorful Colorado." Traveling thru the area was extremely easy. Lots of dudes on quads and trucks tho. 65 is fricken rugged. I question how trees can even grow on such steep inclines, not to mention all the blow downs. We did venture over into the High Mesa. Saw some animals but also saw a lot of hunters. Is anybody willing to recommend a unit that is a little in between? If GMU 65 was a 10 on the scale we would be looking for a 7-8. Possibly a wilderness area, a unit that we could use binos in would be awesome. Again not looking for a honey hole just looking for a different unit. By the way I'm located in NH so scouting trips are a little rough. Thanks in advance, Dennis

What are you hunting and what seasons/weapons? Deer, elk, sheep, moose, pronghorn, big foots, or jack-a-lopes?

SOB, I knew I was forgetting something. Archery elk! I'm addicted!! I'm flexible on dates but I think next year I will piggy back ML season. Although I do like a good chupacabra hunt every now and again.
