I was curious to see if anyone has shot one. I like the ballistics of the 300 rum but have never shot one. I have hunted with a 338 win mag for many years and I am considering saving for a new gun. I probably should stick with what I have but I like the weight of the gun. I was curious to see what your opinion of this rifle is. Thank You.

Great gun. Needs a slightly higher comb. Light as all get out. I shot a buddy's 300 Win Mag and after inspection I thought that it was a heck of a lot of gun for the price. I think they have the new brakes option now for a no downward port. I want one.

Not a Christianson, but have you looked at Proof Research? image.jpg my son has this one 300 wm slightly over 6lbs and it's a tack driver! Really good to see behind something that he knows exactly where the round is going!

Nice looking gun, but a big price jump from low $2k to $6k plus unless I am missing something on the Proof Research guns.

I don't own one, but I handled one at the local Cabelas not to long ago and I really liked the feel of it.

They had a special of 25 right hand and 5 left handed either 6.5 creedmor or 300 win mag. For him he is 32 and wanted a gun to hunt with for his lifetime, so that being said say 40 yrs divided by 5200= 130$ a year. Pretty cheap. I know that the initial expense is great for almost everyone. That's how he explained it to me. I then won a browning xbolt at a RMEF dinner for $40, $500 scope. I tease him about my $40 gun! Have you looked at Montana Rifle co?

The Proof Research guns look like an excellent gun but it is a little out of my price range but then you get what you pay for. I was really curious about the CA because of the price. I was wondering if they were well built and if they shot very well. What does a 300 rum with a muzzle break recoil compare to?

For little more you could look into Fierce firearms or a Cooper Model 92 Back country. Although I have not shot the Fierce I did compare them side by side with the CA and the Fierce felt like a better gun to me.
