Not knowing where exactly your hunting.....ie....known rutting area that holds animals......I'd be leaning toward the earlier hunt.....tail end of the rut.....second estrus cows will be coming in. I'll let the WY experts weigh in. Im assuming thats the first rifles in that area with only archery and muzzleloader guys bumping them before you.

I would go the first week. They may still be talking and haven't been bothered by gun hunters yet.
