Hey all,
Longtime CO muley and elk hunter here, but have not been involved heavily the last couple of seasons due to educational/professional obligations. Just had a few questions for those who stay on top of this stuff:
1) "Hybrid"? draw: I recall reading about this a few years ago, and they indicated those with 5 or more points have a small shot at drawing the big boy units. Is this still a thing? I of course applied at the last minute yesterday evening and have 8 points for elk and threw in for a northwest unit for first choice, and my normal mediocre unit for second choice. All archery tags.
2) For next year, I have 6 points for antelope and bear. I know virtually nothing about either species but am itching to burn them. What would you guys do with this amount of points for antelope and bear? I would be willing to pay a reasonable trespass fee if I had to for antelope. Is archery a realistic way for bear in CO without baiting?
