Will be in Casper the week before 4th of July and need to work on a few loads and test out a new stock. Any recommendations on where to shoot ? Thanks

I only know of 1 place. It's called Stuckenhoffs shooting complex. I went out there once and shot some years back. I know it's still open, it's on the North side of Casper. I live in Douglas, bout 45 miles east. How long are you staying in Casper?

If you are wanting a Range then stuckenhoffs is the place if you are just wanting to shoot Coal Mountain road is a popular place.

Hey Bearcat, remenber when you used to be able to go shoot at the range in Douglas on Irvine rd. Now you have to check in at the sheriffs office and get a key. unless it has changed

Ya. i remember them days. Starting last year we had to take a little 15 minute safety class and go over the range rules before we got a key to the range. You can't even get a key anymore from the sherriffs office or the police station. They were tired of picking up all the trash and stuff people brought out to shoot and left it there. I don't blame them. Alot had to do with insurence purposes too. I have noticed since we had to do this we dont have the trash or crowded shooting range on weekends now. I go out early in the morning also before the wind blows to shoot. They have did a lot of work to the range in the last year and it seems to be working and holding up since not EVERY person can just go in there and shoot stuff up unless you took the class and paid for your key!
