I realize it is legal to camp on BLM land during antelope season. What I want to know is, what are your thoughts as a hunter? Does the presence of camp sites effect your hunting experience?

I love camping on blm while antelope hunting! Nothing like a campfire and hardwood coal cooked ribeye after a hard (or not so hard) day of hunting!!

camping on unit is a fine way to go,,may not be fancy,,might just be a flat spot w sage brush, but it puts ya right there for what you plan to do.

Camping adds to the experience for me personally. It is also beneficial in minimizing the driving time in the morning. Sometimes it takes a while to travel off the beaten path, I don't like adding travel time on the beaten path. Typically antelope country offers plenty of room. It has never affected my hunting at all. Watching sunsets in camp in BLM ground is an added bonus.

We do all the time too. We look for a little draw or low spot to stay below the stray rounds and out of the wind as much as possible!

Anybody else just about get blown off the prairie last October?
