A bill proposed in the California legislature would severely cripple efforts to raise funding for land and wildlife conservation across the Golden State. Chris Holden (D-Pasadena) wants to limit nonprofit organizations to just three gun raffles a year.

Many organizations, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation included, conduct raffles in California to generate funding that is put back on the ground to benefit wildlife. RMEF has 32 different chapters and approximately 13,400 members statewide. About half of the $1 million it raises within the state on an annual basis comes via gun raffles.

?This misguided legislation would do nothing to help public safety,? Mark Lambrecht, RMEF director of government affairs, told the Sacramento Bee. ?It will only harm California?s wildlife and people who enjoy recreating outdoors.?

That is their goal. They have publicly stated they want to end hunting in California first then move to other states. This is just another of the 1000 cuts.

these things cannot happen if those who oppose it would only stand up and speak out.

It can't happen if those that stand up and speak against the bill are in the majority but I doubt that pro gun/ hunting people are the majority in California. If you live in a state that is composed of mostly progressive leftists then why would you be surprised when they try to enact a progressive agenda?

I doubt the progressive leftists are really the majority .they just have the biggest mouths. most just don't care enough about the issue to speak out , or vote against anything they don't consider important to themselves..
that could change if those who do care would fight back.

what's the old saying?
evil will only flourish when good men say nothing!

Propaganda is all about raising your view point to be the loudest voice in the room, and historically it's always moved the majority better than facts or truth. While I have no proof that progressives are the majority eventually they will become the majority because they influence the young through repetitious falsehoods and bullying. They always create an atmosphere of blind obedience to the "new" social order through intimidation and threats. In California it's a mindset that it's inappropriate to argue against anything that the press labels as progressive so the bill will win.
