That would sure be nice since it's only $100 but to be honest, I'm not sure that would be any better/ faster than the grinder I just got rid of? I remember reading a post on another forum about grinders & someone said they bought the attachment for their kitchen aid mixer & it didn't work very good for processing & grinding a whole big game animal. Idk?
I dunno. We are usually drinking beer when we grind meat and not to interested in setting speed records.

I'm usually doing it by myself and or with my wife and she IS looking to break speed records! Lol! I'll have to try drinking beer and doing it next time and see if that makes it easier?

The difference is quality. You can buy quality tools from Craftsman that you know will last or you can buy cheap ones from harbor freight that might break the first time you pull hard on a wrench. You get what you pay for. I agree with work2hunt. Chilling meat will help meat go through alot better the 2nd time.

We have the #22, 1 hp cabelas for a few years and it is great. Foot pedal is a must. We bought ours just after Christmas when they have a big sale and saved over $100 on it. It will grind and stuff anything we make.

Get a sausage stuffer!! The only thing I have regretted since getting it is not getting it sooner. Grinder is a horrible way to stuff sausage.

My grinder works great for stuffing summer sausage sized cases, 3-4" diameter I'd guess. Most of the rest we make is frozen loose in hamburger tubes. But I have often considered getting a stuffer for the smaller sausage cases.

Right on. I remember when I first started making my own sausage. Using the grinder as a stuffer was fine for summer sausage, but for anything else was frustrating to say the least.....I now am the proud owner of a 30lb vertical stuffer with electric motor attachement....perfect.
