So my wife got me a pair of 8x42 landmark ll binos probably 8 yrs. Ago or something, and a couple years ago the eye piece kept coming off, not knowing much about optics warrenty I set them aside and got a different pair. So thanks to this site and all the good folks here I had realized that most companies will replace them, so I decided to try. I sent them an email and they said to send them in. About a week later I received a new pair of Steiner Predator 8x42. I was pretty darn impressed!! Just thought I would let everyone know they were awesome to deal with!

You lost me bigtime man! Why would Burris send you Steiner binos? Are both under the same ownership now, as the last I knew Steiner was a subsidiary of Beretta?

I was wondering the same thing, the sticker on the box said Burris Company, but was a Steiner box!

Just looked it up and it said that Burris, Steiner, and Beretta are all owned by the same now.

***Thanks, as that's the only thing that I could figure out that would have led to them sending you those! It's really getting so you don't know who's who or what's what any more as to who you're dealing with or where stuff is made, LOL! Another good example is Leupold now owning, but keeping the Redfield line of scopes under that name.

Wow! I didn't know that either. I just know the Steiners beat out my monarchs, way brighter. Glad they sent them! And way better than the landmarks.

I had no idea they were all the same company now either. I hope the predators hold up for you. I had a pair once and they got blurry after about 3 years of use. Cabelas gave me a full refund and I put it toward the Swaro's I have now!

I just sent a set of 10x landmark ll in this week myself. Mine just weren't focusing right. We shall see what if anything they do warranty wise. The form I printed and sent with them said Burris and Steiner on them.

I bent the tube on a Burris scope this past fall. Called them, sent it in, and a couple of weeks later had a brand new scope in the mail. Great CS.

I have been very happy with anything I've had to do with Burris Customer Service.

My kids and my horses have been hard on my Burris optics, and 3 times they have made it right. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to the budget conscious consumer.
