Buffalo - Gillette - Good eats?

We usually splurge and stop someplace for a celebration or "tag soup" supper on the way home-after a week in the field. [emoji6]

1. Good place for steak

2. Mexican

Kids and I stopped in Cheyenne last month and on a whim, we ate at this place 'Casa de Trujillo', we were pleasantly surprised and had a good meal.

A couple of years back we stopped at the Rib & Chop House in Gillette after a week of mule deer hunting in the Big Horns.
Scrumptious steaks...a little pricy..but sure was good.
They have a web site.
Now you have made me hungry. I am going solo to hunt antelope near Buffalo in a couple of weeks. I might have to stop there on my way home!

Yup... Winchester steak house in Buffalo. Their artichoke dip is out of this world!

Rib and Chop is very good. Lots of Mexican places in Gillette. Our two favorites are Los Compadres and Los Margeuritas.

Doesn't fit what you are looking for but if you find yourself in need of breakfast or lunch the Busy Bee is Buffalo is really good.

I will second Winchester in Buffalo, pretty good steak house.

Pokey's Barbecue in Gillette: The food was decent but the eye candy was out of this world!

Pie Zanos in downtown Buffalo served up some great Italian food for us.

Winchester has nice decor but the food was not impressive and the service sucked.

Bozeman Trail Steakhouse in Buffalo is great. The taxidermy is worth the trip alone. For what it's worth last time I was there in 2013 Jim Zumbo was there eating too... If Zumbo eats there, it must be good...
