Bucks on summer schedule?

I placed this same question in the Colorado forum, should have placed it here. My question is, I've been scouting/ shed hunting since I found out I drew my archery deer tag about 3 weeks ago. I've seen a few bucks, and I figured since they are really getting into their growth cycle they should be feeding about every 3 hours.
I haven't been seeing the large groups of bucks like I thought I would and the bucks I'm seeing are bedding at daylight.
Am I to early? I'm going to keep looking at new country but an I on the right train of thought?
The snow up high is still deep so I know they are still lower. Just frustrated.

A lot depends on the area. That seems like a generic reply to almost every question on here! In general the bucks will follow the snowline back up. This time of year it's a crapshoot. In my experience you will start seeing bucks entering a good pattern mid to late July. If they are not pushed out, You can expect them to be in roughly the same area until at least mid- September depending on the weather, sometimes into October.

I agree with the general consensus. Those deer tend to follow the line of lush grass as it progresses up the mountain as the snow melts. The deer I hunt in western Wy tend to show up in their summer range sometime in July.

but keep in mind, not all of those bucks will move back up. if he has a good spot he will stay put. dont look past lower elv spots

The bucks are back up on the continental divide where I hunt. The snow is melting fast now. The range looks great with a lot of moisture and lush grass. Should be a great year for antler growth.
