Bow Hunting the Snowies.

I'm going to be taking a buddy up into the snowies this weekend to try and shoot his first elk. I have not really hunted up there very much. Does anybody have any suggestions on a good place to start from? Thanks for the help.

I know this is a little late and not useful this year, but I ran into a couple nice bulls behind Brown's Peak. I was mule deer hunting but just saw elk up there last Sept.

Did your buddy get anything?

No he didn't. We were limited on time and never even saw an elk but thats part of hunting and luckily he was okay with that. So we'll try again this year.
