Does anyone on here have any info on hunting hogs in Northern California? I am getting really bored this offseason and need to do some hunting!!!

Agreed. When I was living in California we all knew public ground was a waste of time. It can be done but we all sought out private ground. My family owns some ground there still and I will be trying for some hogs next week with my bow for the first time while home for the holidays.

Never been to North Caroline but I do bow hunt them here in LA. Only problem is the WMAs are closed during the summer until Sept. 1st. I usually wait for a overcast afternoon after a rain. In my experience they come out earlier in the afternoons on days like this. Plus everything is wet so you can get really close without making much noise. Just get the wind in my face and slip around in areas where they usually are. It's pretty fun.

Lake Sonoma has pig hunting......I believe it's $30.00 for the pass to hunt there on weekends. Might want to check into it.

Lake Sonoma is your best bet my best friend rides his mtn bike around the lake all the time and sees pigs.It is pretty steep and the pigs are out early and right before dark.I hunted it one time with my bother in law once by boat.

Ya public land for hogs is what everybody says. That being said you could spend around $500.00 for a "guided pig hunt". I know a fence ranch here that has monster european hogs upwards of 500lbs and he charges 500 also. I went there to screw around archery and it is definatly hard huntin for the big boys
