I use Nikwax cleaner, conditioner and waterproof on my full grain leather Gor-tex boots. The conditioner waterproofs as well so you don't need both the conditioner and waterproof. I use the conditioner to break boots in and after hard use and use the waterproof for times when my boots are still looking good but need waterproofing. I believe the Nikwax brand does a great job at allowing a breathable member to remain breathable when waterproofing the outer boot material.

What kind of material are the boots and brand?
I use:
Mink oil
Snow seal
meltonian water and stain protector
Basic cream polish
And sometimes just a basic cleaning with Lincoln e-z cleaner to get the dirt off.
Depends if the boots are Gortex or not; also if they are nubuck or smooth leather or synthetic materials.
Can you tell my first job was being a cobbler with my dad.
One way to check if the waterproofing is still good; drip water on the boots and watch for it to bead off

I use just a basic mink oil on my danner pronghorns and it works pretty good at water proofing them and keeping them supple.

Obenaufs - if its good enough for firefighters, its good enough for me
If your boots are in real tough shape - snoseal will get you another year out of them, but i dont typically like it as a all purpose dressing. Seams to dry out/hard on the leather and seams. Just my experience.

I use Obenaufs and Montana Pitch Blend. They seem to have about the same ingredients and both last longer and keep leather protected longer than any of the other types I have tried, and I have tried a bunch. They don't soften the leather a great amount either so the boots don't lose some of their support and comfort.
