I guess the price range does not really matter. I just seen u can pick them up for 300 bucks. I plan on using it once a year for elk hunting so it wnt get a whole lot of usage. Last year i killed a bull 8 miles from the truck and was using my buddies old cabelas brand and i ll never do that again!! just looking for something a little more comfortable. Thanks for the help!
If price doesn't matter, look at Mystery Ranch or Kifaru. I know you say it's just for one week but if money is plentiful you won't regret it. Great, durable, comfortable packs built for packing a load heavier than you or I can handle.
I believe that is the pack I looked at. I thought it was way to complicated and had tomany zippers. You may want to look into an external frame pack for packing out elk as they are generally designed for heavier loads. Eastmans did a pack review a year or so ago that would prob be helpfull to you if you havent seen it already.
