Bighorns unit 38

Hi guys, my buddy and I are going to apply in unit 38 type1 tag this year. Was interested in others experiences of this hunt? Did you enjoy the area? The animals that were Seen? Was it overly crowded, good camping trip? Just others opinions on the area. Neither of us have hunted the area just some basic research has pointed us this direction. If there is any packers in the area.Any information is appreciated . Thanks

The Bad:
1. 400 elk permits issued for unit, too many
2. Unit 38 is in a general deer unit that overlaps with rifle season.
3. Late rifle season.
4. Alot of road access.

The Good:
1. No wilderness (good for NR)
2. No grizzlies or wolves
3. Good animal numbers
4. Good access to public land, almost all NF.

Buckbull, is there any areas worth taking our backpacking stuff or is it pretty much day hunting type stuff. We did apply. So hoping for a fun trip.
