Below is the link to follow to see what the big game tag allocation will most likely be...

These tag numbers will not be voted on or final until May 5-6 2015 - but you can follow the link to see what if any tag allocation changes were by species in all units.

Most likely the commission will approve these numbers.

Enjoy boys...

I was looking thru all the deer units and recommended allocations and was really surprised. The unit I put in for had 25 4th season tags that was bumped up to 40. Looks like I'll draw it with the points I have!!!

Thanks for posting this. They cut some elk tags in the unit I hunt. Looks like I may not draw it as a second choice this year. That is a bummer.

No change in the unit I hope to draw next year. That's OK though because the population is above the target range. Barring a killer winter, it's starting to look like game on. Thanks for the info.

Some changes that were interesting to me was that they gave 10 tags in the 4th for most of the basin. 65 early buck got 15 added.

The usual up and down. It also looks like some of the 2nd choice deer tags will be harder to get.

The extra bit to LO's will be felt this year and it will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Another easy as cake winter here for the animals with great moisture so far this winter/spring at this point it is fair to say winter kill will not be that bad. The deer I see are very healthy and horn growth to this point is great..

They are calling for above average rainfall in May throughout the majority of the state. I just wish they would slowly add early rifle and 4th season buck tags instead of a bunch in one year. We finally have a year where mule deer numbers go up and they start adding a bunch of tags. We are not even at objective levels yet in most units. Colorado does do a better job managing mule deer then most states so we will see what happens.

The antlerless increases in the basin caught my attention more than the 10 4th tags. Makes that 02R hunt a little more of a cluster with that additional pressure.
