I just ordered a Bergara wilderness ridge chambered in 308. Little concerned about the barrel being only 20 inches. Never owned a gun with a barrel that short. Most of my deer rifles have been 24 on average. Also have zero experience with bergara. Hopefully I made a good purchase. Anyone have experience with this rifle? (Whitetail hunting out of stands primarily). No shots further than 300 yard max.
