Got slammed by a drunk driver presumably early sat morning.
I was going the speed limit of 60mph when out of nowhere this suv nails me from the back/side, estimate his speed was 70-100mph. His headlights went from visible to on me in what seemed like 2 seconds, and right as I'm saying to myself I hope this nut doesn't hit me, he slams into me violently.
I did a 360, he took off, I wasn't concussed but definitely rattled, wasn't sure of my condition or my vehicles at the time either. Also wasn't expecting someone to hit me and then take off. Called police, filed a report, Black SUV, probably Acura MDX is all I noticed, also since this accident I've noticed good luck trying to read a license plate past 50feet away.
Was a pretty intense collision, flying out of control, thought it could have been much worse in the moment, so the good part is I was lucky enough to walk away uninjured, banged up and sore but I think I should fully recover.
Be safe, watch out for those crazies!
Kinda ticks me off that some DUI hit and run driver got away, who knows he he may have already had 1, 2, 3 DUI's... not to mention all the other hit and runs he's been in.
I joke that had the roles been reversed there would have been a cop a block back to arrest me. Of course I don't drive drunk or hit and run.
Trying to stay positive and see the light of this situation, live and learn I suppose, but glad to be healthy and alive.
I think my car will be a total, surprised it didn't look even worse than it did.
