For any state that requires you to purchase a hunting license for the draws you need to take advantage of the easy to draw tags that they offer.

Arizona has some great quail hunting, not to mention the spring hunts for javelina. I leaving Wednesday for my annual javelina hunt down there. While I don't have as far to drive as other on the forum here I have met up with hunters from as far away as Minnesota down there hunting javelina and quail.

My annual tag/pref pt budget is < $1k, and I'm focusing on trying to hunt elk every yr for the forseeable future; so the AZ late archery deer hunts are about it for me in AZ right now; as something to do if I have a little extra vacation and coin to burn. I do agree there's some amazing hunting and scenery in AZ for those who can take advantage of it. I'll get there! [emoji6]
