Area 144 Advice

I am going hunting in Area 144 about a week after opening day. We have horses and there will be three of us. We are going to have to concentrate most of our efforts to the northern end of the area because we will be elk hunting in Area 84 the following week. Any advice on how to avoid the crowds and at the same time find where the big mule deer are? I have never hunted this area. We are going scouting in a few days and any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE THIS SEASON!!!
