Really glad the college season has started. My Alma Mater won today, but didn't look sharp at all. Started a true 17 year old Freshman! When I played there Freshman had to play Freshman Football. NCAA mandated no freshman could play any varsity sport.

the first week is a real mixed bag now. Some teams are still playing the Podunk States of the world as really no more than warm-up games and others like UW v Auburn are top 10 match-ups the first week. I have a hard time getting into college ball. I'd much rather watch the pros.

It's amazing to me.I watch College ball on Sat. And Pro ball on Sun.,and the Pros seem so much slower.Like slugs running down the field.
The plays take so much longer to progress. It's like night and day.

There’s something to be said for both levels so it’s probably just personal. I have a home-town pro team that I follow very closely and had season tickets for years, and while we have a lot of great college teams in the region, we don’t have one in town. Plus, my Alma mater, SJSU, has never had good teams. I only watch one game a week so it’s the Panthers.

It's really funny how the local news in Vegas said UNLV just showed how well it was going to contend in the MW conference.
Because they lost by ONLY 22 points?
UNLV has been a perennial punching bag for so many years now the university should just cut it's losses and not have a football team.

Actually until the 4th quarter, it was a much closer game.

Since I went to Penn State I always cheer for them. But since my wife's family is Bulldog fans I cheer for them as well. So far both teams are doing very well.

Having said that, I dont pay too much attention to any of it.
