Anyone hunted with Montana Big Game Pursuits? I am considering some WY outfitters as well, but these guys seem to have good success bow hunting unit 410. Appreciate any and all feedback.

I have been fortunate enough to hunt 410 the last 2 years. Unfortunately the draw didn't like me this year. I have tried an outfitter before a couple times not in 410 but wasn't for me!!! Huge rip off!!! I killed a 310" the first year and last year was into more elk the the year before but just couldn't put it all together. I would forget the outfitter and just plan on staying there the later part of the season when weather cools down.

I'm curious about your 410 montana elk hunt. Were you successful? And second, did you hunt with an outfitter. I will have 4 pts for 2017 and plan on drawing hopefully.

410 is a solid unit, but perhaps not what it was once. Lots of elk find their way onto the private land, but for those willing to work, there are plenty of elk on public. Don't be afraid to look right down on the river and in the willows. But spend time behind your glass. Scouting is essential.
