Well I was lucky enough to draw an antelope tag and my hunt is already over! I scouted 1.5 days and killed my buck on Sunday morning! Short but oh so sweet. With the help of my two best bros, Evan and Ty, that made the long trip north to help me out it worked! So I saw this buck for 2 days in the same general area. I spot and stalked on Saturday on different bucks. Never saw anything drink from this water hole and everyone said u can't set up a blind that soon! Well I gave it a shot and thought if I brushed it in really good it might just work. So we got up early and cut brush set up the blind and waited for light. So after napping and taking turns on lookout we got out of the blind to stretch at 7:30! (We were going to stay till at least 12 lol) but we were restless. So while out of the blind my buddy Ty spots this buck a ways off by some junipers and we though lets go after him! (Why it didn't work the last 4 time we tried lol) so I was glassing after that and saw the tip of doe ears coming through the grass our way. So I said get in the blind and see what happens. 20 minutes later Evan spots the buckimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg over the rise 500 yards away! Watching him feed and work toward us, his 2 does appeared and started coming to water. And he followed them right in! There were definitely locked on the blind and knew something wasn't right. He came up the bank last and one of the does blew. I thought I need to shoot now. Asked my buddy for a range and he couldn't get it. He was so scared to move that the laser part of the rangefinder was hitting the blind so it wouldn't read! I had happened to range a spot where I thought they might come up it was 43 yards. So I took that and shot. Turns out he was at 50 yards. He spun around and went 40 yards behind the water and piled up! The shot was a little back but he died quick. Awesome hunt and against all odds it worked
