welp ,the 2017 bruin season has kicked off.
gotta wait a couple more weeks here in sw idaho till it opens. april 15 maybe some south slopes will open up by then.


looking forward to seeing pics from all your hunts.

Good luck. Bear is a draw hunt here in Nv. Wife has a good chance drawing this year.

june bear a couple of years ago. high country was still snowed in. He was eating grass down in a little creek bottom.
only bear I have ever killed. I don't spend much time on bears.

I don't spend much time on em either . but try to get out and glass south hills a couple days every year.
been a while since I kilt one.

It is funny, I have a log retaining wall that needs to be redone. Dang bear ripped it up. I have trail cam shots of them in the yard, but for some reason, I just have not made them a priority like elk. the one I did get the meat was really good. he did square at 6'4.
