After getting both pair of boots, here is what I know about the two:

Lowa Tibet-It takes a large-volumed foot to fill this boot up. I may try them again tonight while keeping the original insoles in and putting my insoles on top. I'm not sure if that is a good idea. The insoles that come with this boot actually aren't too bad. Without this, I have to cinch the laces down so tight that there are now creases in the leather at the toe of the boot, which I am sure is not good. My heal does fit well in the boot and I have good room in the front of the boot for my toes. I also really like the lacing lock on the eyelets. It seems like are real comfortable boot out of the box.

Hanwag Alaska-My foot fills this boot up well and I don't have to cinch the laces up to make this boot fit. This boot in size 12 seems a little shorter than the Lowa based on how my insoles fit in each boot. They are very comfortable out of the box. The insole that comes with this boot is junk. The only issue I have with this boot is that my shorter foot has my heel lifting a little bit. The heal of my longer foot fits a little better, but it doesn't fit the heal as well as the Lowa boot.

In summary, I am 95% happy with either boot. Both boots are very high quality and comfortable out of the box. I feel the Hanwag fits my feet a little better, but I am going to mess with both pairs again tonight. The heel issue is a little concerning in the Hanwag, but I don't want to have to over-cinch the Lowa boot to make it fit.
