Dammit,

I thought this thread was about whisky.

I love ice fishing, and used to do it frequently, but haven't had a chance this winter.

Been out twice. Was suppose to go this weekend but the kiddo got a cold and I was on daddy duty while the wife ran her grandparents around. The ice has been hit or miss around here. 70's for weeks on end doesn't help the cause.

Ill usually go to an annual ice fishing derby in a town called ely Nevada. Its a blast! The beer and whisky are as good as the fishin! We created a game called "ice hole" last time the fishing was slow. Drill 2 holes about 20' apart. Clear a lane in the snow between them so that a full beer can glides nicely. (Works well by taking the ice spoon and throwing some water on the surface between the holes) play the game just like shuffle board! Slide a beer from hole to hole. When the beer drops in the water you get a point (given the ice is deep enough) it will stay afloat in the hole. 2 man teams. Keep track of score first team to ten wins. Opposing team gets to drink shaken and badly bruised cervesa!

Like I said not much sign of cold! But there was ice. This was during my bro in laws elk hunt this year. They couldn't keep me away from the water. "Come on we got an elk to kill" -me "come get me when the sandwiches are made, packs are loaded, and the knifes are sharp, till then im fishin!"

I thought the same thing BB...sitting here sipping on some vodka and xrated mixed with cherry sparkling soda! Already ran out of fireball last week! :D

As far as ice fishing goes....nooooo way brother. My greatest fear is frozen water....not going to ever find me on it intentionally.

edit: was last night.... Not at 7:30 am when I posted this hahahahah

That's what I thought as well. No hard water here, unless you're talking about giant waves hitting you hard. I speared one in Oct that knocked my windshield off doing about 70. Whooda thunk those little plastic pieces were so expensive.
