Any help Wyoming unit 55

I am seriously looking at unit 55 it?s not marked as a hard unit for access but I see it?s a big checker board. I do have on x maps but what?s the deal with the roads how do u know if they are private roads and all to get into these blocks of bpm land any info on this unit would be great please help guys

County maps show public or private. Check to see if that county has map on web site or give them a call for a map. Don't assume any thing when it comes to roads in Wyoming.

I have maps of the unit my biggest thing is the roads which are public or private where I can find more info on this and why did the unit use to be listed as difficult to access public but now is not. What has changed

Look at the interactive hunting map on Wyoming's website. It will show the "walk-in" areas too. I shot a few does out of that area years ago.

I would send an email to the Road and Bridge superintendent. Some roads listed on county websites are not really public for their entire length. They show them for emergency access.
The R&B guy or gal will tell you which are in fact public roads.

I see where they added new Wildlife Management Area to that unit. That may be the reason for the change.

I hunted the walk in and WMA in 2015, saw 1 rig the first day. Had Bucks walk up to my camper to get their picture taken. Back then, you could drive roads in the walk-in but now I see only marked roads are open. Didn't see any big bucks.
