I'll be hunting 106 this fall, looks like a good unit with enough public to roam around. Looking for a nice place to camp, any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

When I hunted there we camped a few miles east of the rest area on 287. We were sort of centrally located in the area and it was nice to have have a warm restroom close to us.
That makes sense. I'm thinking about more of a back country camp, maybe at the base of one of the mountains north side of the unit

Thanks bonecollector, I'm sure it will be fun. Haven't heard much from other people who have hunted it but the biologist had great things to say.

Husker Hunter: Callme at740-616-3666. How many people are you taking? I killed a decent buck in 2 days. Missed a good one on day 1 with my M.L.I was on a time crunch as I had to take my son to unit 25 for his hunt. Be patient and hunt taller hills! you might be surprised whats in those hills!
