Advice on large binoculars

Thanks all for your input. I knew where this query would probably go. I know I should have bought the best years ago and then could have used them for the last dozen hunts. I haven't gone overboard on guns during that time, but do need to feed my snowmobiling passion. For the cost of one new sled, I could have made a trip to Germany, toured the Swaro plant, taken the CEO out to dinner, and then bought everything I need. Am trying the closest Gander MT. today to see if they have anything different then they had a year ago.
Congrats on your purchase! I think you will enjoy them a ton! ...but let's be honest, no great glass is worth not getting a new sled! !

I agree with you mntnguide about the sleds. I put on about 600 miles in ID,MT,WY each year, and an additional 1,500 miles in MN. It looks like I'll be trading up my Polaris 800 Pro RMK to a newer Pro RMK LE soon. One by one, most of my friends have stopped canoeing, backpacking, hunting, and snowmobiling. Hence my decision years ago to start hunting out west and to becoming a wilderness canoe guide for the Boy Scouts. Now I have more 20 year old friends than 60 year old friends.
I will spend some time with the binos and the tripods that I have, but will likely use the money I saved to get something better {tripod} I have looked at some of the tripod posts, so am not asking that question here. I will be making a family trip west in late July, and hope to spend a few days scouting my hunting area. I'll have to draw the tag first of course.....
My son has "friends" who he talks to on the various social media. I don't go there and consider a friend as someone who I personally know, like, trust, and respect. I can say though, that many on this forum I can consider as real friends. I have hunted with one of you, met another and exchanged some good personal hunting information, and hope to meet more in the future. HAPPY HUNTING. Rick

I know that my opinion may fall on deaf ears but I have a slick tripor and these binoculars...

I love them when attached to my grid spotter.

I also have a 12X same style. They are very nice for the money....

Im going to get the 20X kahibabs for my next trip. I know they are expensive but they are FAAAAR more affordable and have a better warranty than anything else I have ever seen.

If I had a 3k$ pair of binculars I would be walking around with them in a hard case the entire time....

I drop these and I send them back and they replace or fix them and I have them back in 10 days...

DONT ASK ME HOW I KNOW THAT...

My fiance was using my 12X this past season and spotted the horns of the buck I killed 800 yards away sticking up out of some grass..... I then spent the next 5 hours stalking that buck and killed him at 100 yards with my muzzleloader....

Ya... I know... but its a true story and some tasty food for though...

I heard Vortex Kaibab is amazing, but it's quite expensive for me, even though it's on sale on Amazon now, so I'm thinking of buying these small bino's:
ATN BINOX-HD 4-16x. I heard it's also very good!

I will tell you you cannot beat the service of sworovski. I bought my 10x42s in the late 80s. I almost destroyed them this past year by dropping them. I called them and they told me to send them in to their repair service center. I was honest with them and told them what happened. I received a email yesterday and they are on their way back. And at no charge. Can't thank them enough.

I think you'll be sorely disappointed..

Do not get the 20x. I know three people that bought those all excited to have two eyes through a 20 power lens and all three of them hated it. Very dim, no clarity on cloudy or low light situations. Don't get them. I have the 12x razors, (or my wife does) and I like them a lot, great mid range glass, don't need a tripod but still good zoom for the coues hunts.
