Trying to decide which unit to put in for. I have 5 points and have never been antelope hunting before. I also kinda like 93? I think that was it, but don't want to spend 5 points on a unit I could draw with 3. So what unit would you guys go for and do you have any tips for a first timer? Also is there any good creeks to catch a few trout in? Thanks for any help
90-1 or 90-2?

I would look toward units 59, 64, or 92. All these units have great goats and can be drawn with 4-5 points. Or play the game and cough up the extra cash for a special Antelope license and try to draw unit 60 or 61. These are both fantastic units. Max. point applicants had a 56% chance of drawing last year. You are looking at hunt some of the best antelope country in Wyoming very soon. Good luck!

Unit 93 is big and a lot of tags (people). IMHO 90-2 is better than 90-1. Hunted it 2 years ago and had a great time - lots of good goats (14 - 15" - good prongs). As far as the creeks for fish, well pretty short on water in that part of the country - The Green River is on the western border but the better hunting was on the East and Northern parts of the unit. Bring a shotgun for Sage Hens if your hunting lope at at the same time - added bonus.

I hunted 90-2 in 2009 and had a great hunt. We only hunted for about 3 or 4 days then tagged out and went home because of having a new baby at home. Lots of good goats like gon4elk said, we just rushed it. Although I did notice that in the MRS section of the magazine 90 is right in the middle of the bad winter kill zone. If you do decide to put in for that unit I would get in touch with the biologist first so you don't waist your points on low numbers.

Well heck. I don't know what to do now. I will make some calls on the way to NM next week. I was really wanting to go antelope hunting this year. Just hate to burn all those points on a bad year. Can a guy get doe tags and not burn points? Might do that and scout a little. Or go on a cow elk hunt if I can get a left over tag and save the lope points. I am spinning now thought I had it all planned out. Man I don't know what to do. ????????

Drove through there couple weeks ago, still a ton of Antelope and it is a very mild Winter so far this year. You can get a doe tag without burning points.
They upgraded the Carter unit (94 I think??) in the latest MRS to Blue Chip, lot of nice goats there too.
