4 POINTS and don't know what to do - WY

I've also got 4 points in WY and was thinking about hunting G in 2015.

Sounds like you really need horses there and I don't have any, nor do I have someone to hunt with in WY next year. If any of you guys using horses and putting in for G would consider adding another guy, let me know.

I'm 60 but in good shape. Just spent a week hiking up and down snowy hills in Montana hunting on my own - saw a fair number of bucks but no shooters.

Just a heads up hoshour; I applied in G this year and paid for the "special" draw with 2 pts. In 2013, that was a 68% draw. This year it was 0%. 3 pts. "special" in 2014 was 98%, but I am reluctant to play that game again because I expect severe point creep in 2015.
There is pressure on the Wy. DOW to reduce hunting pressure on mule deer where they are struggling. They seem willing to reduce NR tag numbers, but not change the resident OTC options. Just read all the "G" comments on this and other forums and you can predict plenty of competition for the tags. If you reach a point where you decide to hunt G, you may want to pay for the "special" and that should guarantee a tag. I did quite a lot of research on G before I applied (with input from a local guide). I was confident that I could beat the crowds by going Sherpa. The area where I hunted in H in the past is only 2 miles off the road, but after you climb a tough cliff-face, you leave everyone behind. I just might decide to go back there this year.

I'm familiar with the frustrations of point creep. I haven't seen the WY draw report for mulies for 2014 yet or the quota for 2015 but I would consider the special draw in 2015 if I need to, but only if I have other guys to put in with. Region G is probably too demanding for a 60-year-old solo hunter without horses and I'm too old to backpack in and out 5-6 miles with multiple heavy loads of meat on each trip out.

As an alternative, I could wait to accumulate more points and hunt a good WY limited draw area but I'd love to do a hunt with horses and I'm low on points in other states right now so this would be good timing. I'd consider H and also consider K but 4 is too many points to spend there.
