34A coues tag

Hey all,

I just got drawn for the late October coues hunt in 34A. I have never hunted that unit, only some of the surrounding ones. I guess it includes the Santa Ritas, but I've never even stepped foot over there. Through beginning to research deer success in the unit, I became a bit nervous because it doesn't seem like many people like this unit. So I was wondering if someone might be able to help me out; share some advice; maybe I can pick your brain a bit. I would really appreciate it. As a student taking a full load of summer courses and working, it has been so incredibly hard to get out and learn the area, but I do plan on doing this when summer courses finish.

34A is a great unit I hunted it growing up as a kid a good place to start is Hog Canyon. Personally I prefer that October hunt it's the first hunt and even though it's hot that is when most of the bigger bucks are taken. Good luck.

That's a good unit and has a lot of deer. It can be a zoo on the south side. I'd go to game planner maps and checkout some of their stuff. Its an az company and the owner hunts coues.
