300 Weatherby reloads

Hello: I recently acquired a dandy rifle made by Brown Precision chambered in 300 Weatherby. I'm not sure that chambering would be first on my list, however it was a very good transaction. Hopefully some day I'll make a trip somewhere that the 300 Weatherby at full throttle will be needed. In the meantime I'd like to develop a load to hunt whitetails that doesn't generate a great deal of recoil. Something that would be in the ballpark of 30-06 or abit better performance. To help me I was wondering if anybody has already done this and would share any tips or load data they have found. Thanks in advance.

I've never loaded mine down much, generally in the mid to upper end of the load data books.
That is sure to be a great rifle that you got. I think C.C loads this caliber too, maybe he'll weigh-in.
