We had a slight problem this year with hogs tearing up our hay fields, and as nocturnal as those nasty things have been I didn't pass up the opportunity to pull the trigger on one. So here are the ones I actually took pics of.

These were actually shot on a place I was invited to hunt on. My buddy wanted some hogs to have a BBQ for his work crew and I made it happen. 4 shots 6 located.. 1 sow got away, but buzzard founds her the next day.

this one ended up going over 300 on the calf scales. I'll never understand why there's a such thing as a feral barr hog.

this one got caught in the act of messing up a perfectly good hay field

That looks like fun. If you ever need help just let me know and I will pack up with a couple friends and we can come help out.

Looks like you all have lot of pigs out your way packmule. It looks like you were pretty successful in thinning some out. Those critters are so invasive and we have our share of them out here too. They get cleared out of the public hunting land pretty well with all the people we have out here in our own human population explosion but the private and non hunt-able public land has them pretty thick in places where they thrive still.

They're hit or miss for us. We're nestled between a cpl rivers and a big lake and they come up from the backwaters to nest in our clearcuts and pine plantations. You can go a cpl months without seeing any and then the next day be overrun. Between us and our trapper we removed 692 for 2012.

Another one bites the dust. 8 shots from the little Ruger 10/22 as he fled to cover was enough to make it happen.

In going to try to shoot another one this afternoon. Our winter wheat we planted on our food plot is starting to seed and I've got a new rifle I want to air out.
