I have the 2012 Icon and cannot get rid of hipbone hotspots (with 50+lb in pack). I am considering selling the pack or trying the 2013 suspension.

Anyone had the same issue and fixed it with the 2013 suspension?

Hey Josh, how many miles have you put on that belt? Is it a friction type hotspot, or more pressure related? The 2013 has a little more give in the hip padding, which could solve the problem. Plus the newer lumbar pad on the 2013 might distribute the weight better for you, taking some pressure off the hips. Let me know if you want to do a belt exchange before giving up on it. I think it would be worthwhile.

Todd,
I have probably 30 or so miles on the tredmill with 50 or 100lb's of weight.
I have about 50 miles or so with it hiking from day pack to overnighters.

I still have the new 2012 suspension in the box that I got to fix the squeak. Should I try that newer belt?

On the tredmill I never felt the pressure. On my last outing it was way off trail through a lot of downfalls and after a few hours the pressure on my hip bone was horrible. After the two days I came out with bruises on my hips and it didn't matter what I did for adjustments and the pack was right around 50lbs.

I know you recommended to get the 13' suspension, should have probably listened to you! lol.
