16 elk pts, Where would you go?

A buddy and myself will have 16 elk points (non-resident) after this year and feel it's about time to burn them.

Where would you go if you had all these points or would you hold out a few more years for another unit?

Would you DIY or if you could afford a guide would you go guided to make the most out of your points? Same thing if you were guided, where would you go?

i would put in for 61 muzz tag...had a budy kill a really good bull there a few years ago...i dont think 16 points will get you into 2,201 or 10...kinda sad..

I'm looking at the March/april issue of eastmans bhj, looks like you could draw unit 61 any weapon with 16 pts. Units 2 and 201 are going to to be 16-20pts depends on the weapon you want to use. All these units are good and your chance to kill a 350-400 bull are good in each. I am a CO res and will have 11pts after this years draw. I think i'm going to put in for unit 61 archery next year.

Try GMU 76.It is rugged but hold excellent trophy bulls.
