Went on my first ever antelope hunt this past fall in SD. The numbers in our area were very low but I did manage to connect on my first ever buck. Not huge but I now have one under my belt to work up from.

Just got back from NW South Dakota hunting the rifle opener. I was lucky enough to take my biggest mule deer to date. Not sure what it scores yet but it taped at 25.5" wide.

Called in a pair this winter and took out this one with the ol 10ga stuffed with 00buck at 10 yards. He trotted within 5 feet of the Foxpro.

Number were down this year but we did see a few nice bucks, one dandy on the Friday night before rifle season opened, but we never saw him again. I ended up taking this buck on Sunday morning, not a monster by any means but he made me happy and put some venison in the freezer.

Hello there all, new to the fourm and I must say it looks like a good bunch of people here! I have a question for you, I am looking at getting a new rifle for Mule Deer/Elk and have my caliber choice down to either 300 WinMag or 300 WSM. Which one would you choose and why? Thanks!
