Just like to thank everyone that provided info. in response to my thread a couple months ago to an early season bow hunt in unit 12. Had a really good hunt and took my first ever elk, a 5 x 5, on the fifth day.

Hey everyone, long time hunter here in the Midwest but still new to the west. This will be my fourth year trying my hand at archery elk hunting in Colorado. So far unsuccessful but just love being out there. Anyway, been a subscriber to EHJ Ana EBJ for a while now but thought I'd give the forum...

Anyone willing to email or message about bow hunting unit 12,Colorado? I've read the posts about way too many hunters and such but from the continued number of elk killed there has to be some areas that are huntable.
