    Nevada deer points

I see Nevada combined a couple of early/late deer hunts into one hunt. I have 11 points and am leaning towards unit 11-13. Any thoughts on best use of the tags? Muzzleloader or rifle. I know, I know, I have 3 posts going for deer. We have been stacking up points (not by choice, lol). I have...

    California deer points

My buddy and I have 14 non-resident deer points. We were trying for M9, Devil's Garden deer, but obviously since I am 64 years old, that won't work. I think we have a shot at M5, the East Lassen unit, and we hunted it in 2004. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on a rifle tag to make...

    Colorado deer points

Due to other state hunting commitments my buddy and I have accumulated 11 points for deer. We usually hunt muzzleloader but are open to rifle or bow. Any help steering us to the best use of these points would be appreciated. Note: I am 64 and NOT in sheep shape.

    Upcoming California draw

My buddy and each have 13 points for California deer (non residents). We have been trying for muzzleloader hunts, but we have projected we are still 7 years out from potentially drawing a tag. We have decided to burn our points on a X zone rifle tag. I am 63 years old, not really interested...

I could use a little help...

Thank you to all who gave great advice...I killed a 6x6 on Wed evening. After we finally got some rain the bulls started bugling and I called this one in. Saw lots of bulls in this size class. Only saw one really big bull, but saw 50/60 bulls in the 14 days I hunted.

Scouting Nevada 061/071 for bull elk Sept hunt

Just got back from scouting in Nevada 061/071 for muzzleloader bull elk. Very disappointed in what I saw. Only saw one cow elk on the last evening near Big Bend campground. I did meet some awesome hunters with archery cow elk tags that gave me some good advice. If anyone has any tips or...

    061/071 scouting trip for elk

Well, if it could go wrong, it has. Anyway, due to circumstances beyond my control, I am finally headed to Nevada to scout for elk for 4 days. If anyone has any fresh info on 061/071 I would sure appreciate a shout out. I have the Sept 1-16th muzzleloader bull elk tag. It appears this may be...
