First ‘lope

Drew my first ever antelope tag this year and was able to make it a successful hunt. Such an easy hunt compared to mule deer. I think the total elevation gain I walked was 2 feet, if that! And we weren’t even there 24 hours. I had never eaten antelope before and I gotta say it’s delicious. I’ve been missing out. Location: somewhere in Nevada

As you get older you begin to appreciate hunting antelope more and more!!! I'm almost 84 and when I can get a tag, it is really a fun time for us oldsters.

Congratulations! I always wonder if people down talk antelope meat to ward away competition for tags.
I agree it taste like 2 day old road kill.
